It has been 4 years since I started my fashion blog. And while I have a talent for styling and giving advice for dressing your best, I apparently do not have much follow through. My younger brother made this crystal clear as he scolded me yesterday – I mean really scolded me – as if my lack of follow through with my blog had somehow offended him. His point was that I am wasting a talent, and who cares if I can boast about discovering a trend before they emerge in the latest fashion magazine. He basically told me that I am helping no one. (–Geez right?)
But it is the truth, so I will commit to starting back my blog in earnest – not because I hope to become some major fashion influencer, but rather because I still want to help women over 40 look and feel their best.
So, while my brother gave me a figurative kick in the pants I will use that as a segue to discussing how pants fall in line with fall fashion (see what I did there?). Fitted jeans and wide leg trousers are fall favorites for me. Because it is boot season, I always suggest having a nice pair of fitted skinny jeans because they look great with any type of boot from ankle booties to thigh-high boots. A wide leg trouser is always nice to see under a fall trench coat. I will provide you with some examples shortly. I am doing a photo shoot on November 10th, but in the meantime, check on this link to one of my favorite fashion channels for more inspiration.
